The H5 Hi-Q Platform™: Powering the Most Accurate Search and Classification Solutions Available
All H5 solutions are powered by the proprietary H5 Hi-Q Platform, the core information retrieval system for highly accurate search and classification applications that automate expert human judgments in all information search, review, categorization, and analysis tasks.
The name H5 Hi-Q Platform comes from the term high-Q system. In physics and engineering, it is a system that selects strongly for the signal at the desired frequency while eliminating the noise.
In information retrieval, the challenge is also one of discerning signal from noise. Specifically, an effective, highly accurate information retrieval system – a high-Q system – maximizes the likelihood of selecting at the target point in the subject matter domain (relevant information) while eliminating the noise (non-relevant information).
The H5 Hi-Q Platform incorporates proprietary information retrieval, data mining, and validation software. Originally developed and continually refined by H5’s in-house team of Ph.D. computer scientists, linguists, computational linguists, statisticians, and other information retrieval experts, the H5 Hi-Q Platform has been on the cutting edge of information retrieval for the past decade.
The core technological components of the H5 Hi-Q Platform include:
- Rapid Analysis and Modeling Module (RAMM): RAMM draws upon a constellation of embedded proprietary information retrieval, data mining, and performance measurement technologies deployed on the target data population to identify, validate, organize, and compile millions of highly effective linguistic models to ensure a high Q-factor across all dimensions of the subject matter domain.
- Automated Intelligence Module (AIM): AIM automates human decisions about documents. First deployed by H5 for the U.S. intelligence community, AIM applies the high-Q models to the target data population to selectively identify the relevant documents.
- Library of Linguistic Models (LLM): Over the past decade, H5 has developed a library containing millions of highly effective linguistic models across a vast array of subject matter domains. Developed using H5’s RAMM, the library of high-Q models can be used and customized to retrieve information with similar subject matter from any data population.
